THE milestone method
The Art of breaking down Motherhood and your child’s development into Milestones with clear goals and expected outcomes.
The Backstory.
I stumbled into motherhood at 25 years old after getting pregnant outside of wedlock in 2013 after just 8-months with my then boyfriend. riddled with shame, fear and minimal support, it was the worst time of my life, but i was determined to protect my peace so that i could pour into my newborn baby when he arrived in january 2014. two years later, i was blessed with a second child, months after discovering that i had been cheated on by my husband.
My journey into motherhood was far from idyllic. In the first year, I suffered from post-partum depression and I knew that the only way that I could survive and look after my baby was to deploy my knowledge of time-management and productivity to our every day - I used a technique called Time-Blocking to manage the hours in the day and track both of our progress.
By the time my son was 2-years old, we were told that he was likely on the autism spectrum and noticing that his speech wasn’t where it should be and his ability to concentrate was even worse, I started to push for early intervention. In the thick of this and the discovery that I had been cheated on, I found out that I was expecting our second child who was born in October 2016. Without being dramatic, I thought that my life was over.
But at 27 years old, I didn’t want my life to be over!
So I again dug deep into my productivity and time-management bag, which came from my career as an Executive Assistant in Finance and also observed how the ‘top 1%’ families raised their children and developed a plan.
The plan was simple. Deal with the present moment in life. Put one foot in front of the next. Protect your peace and do the things you love. Pour into your boys. Repeat.
By breaking parenting into bitesized chunks, I was able to ensure that we gave our children all of the support that they needed in that very moment. It meant that we could stay laser focused on what was working for their development and what wasn’t and then pivot accordingly.
Day by day, month by month, year by year.
Until after 10-years of this laser-focused style parenting, it became clear that my children were not just thriving, but they were outstanding!
So outstanding that my previously delayed eldest son got a place at the prestigious Harrow School and my youngest son is a straight-A student with a brilliant creative mind. But better than this, both children are confident, happy and kind, which is the greatest achievement of all.
Introducing The Milestone Method Membership.
The Membership for Mothers committed to raising thriving children, without losing themselves in the process. The Milestone Method was created by Charlotte Kuti who developed a plan to get her child from early stage Speech, Language and Emotional Development delays to Harrow School.
I have now taken my 12+ years of proven successful parenting and created a new approach to motherhood - based on goal setting, intense self-care, peaceful productivity and most importantly, a community of like-minded mothers.
welcome to the milestone method membership.
